Cookie Policy

1. What are cookies?

Cookies are small text files a website stores in your browser. They are one type of tracking technology; other technologies (such as analytics scripts with no storage) work differently. This policy describes the technologies Interviou actually uses — not a generic list.

2. Necessary technologies

Interviou keeps your interview preparation on its servers for 24 hours (the time you need to use it), then deletes it automatically. This processing happens server-side and stores nothing in your browser. The consent preference you choose below is stored on this device; it contains no CV, no job description and no interview content.

3. Analytics

Interviou uses analytics to understand how the website and product are used and to improve the service.

  • Product analytics

Aggregate product usage events (pages viewed, preparation started/completed, checkout started). No cookies, no identifiers, no personal content, no session IDs.

    Provider:
    Interviou (self-hosted endpoint)
    Storage:
    None in your browser
    Duration:
    No data retained
    Consent:
    Not required (see below)
  • Umami

Aggregate website analytics: page views, referrer, browser, operating system, device type and country. Umami's standard tracking code does not use cookies and does not store persistent identifiers.

    Provider:
    Umami (cloud.umami.is)
    Storage:
    None in your browser
    Duration:
    No data retained
    Consent:
    Not required (see below)
  • Google Analytics

Website analytics. Google Analytics 4 uses first-party cookies to distinguish users and sessions. Interviou does not use advertising, remarketing or personalization features.

    Provider:
    Google LLC
    Storage:
    cookie
    Duration:
Not applicable — not currently deployed
    Consent:
    Required

Umami's standard tracking code does not use cookies and does not store persistent identifiers; it collects aggregate statistics such as page views, referrer, browser, operating system, device type and country. Google Analytics is not currently deployed on this site. If it is added later, it will use first-party cookies and run only after your consent.

4. How to manage preferences

When you first visit Interviou, a banner asks for your choice. You can accept all optional technologies, reject them, or open the settings. Rejecting optional analytics does not limit the product: you can still upload a CV, generate a preview, pay and read your preparation.

5. Changing your choice

Use the Cookie settings link in the footer at any time to review the current state and change it. The preference is saved on this device and is not asked again unless the categories or purposes materially change.

6. Third parties

Umami: umami.is. Google: Google privacy policy (relevant only if Google Analytics is activated). See also the Privacy Policy.
