Interviou is the data controller for the processing described in this policy. The service is operated by a small team, and privacy questions reach us directly: hello@interviou.com.

You upload a CV and provide a job posting. Interviou extracts the text, analyzes it, and generates a personalized interview preparation: likely questions, answer guidance, potential gaps and a short pre-interview summary. The preparation is available through a temporary link and is deleted automatically after 24 hours.

• To provide the preparation you asked for (contract).
• To process your payment (contract).
• To keep the service secure and prevent abuse (legitimate interest).
• To measure allowed product usage in aggregate and improve the service (legitimate interest).
• To comply with applicable legal obligations, including accounting.

5. AI processing and DeepSeek

Interviou uses the DeepSeek API to process the information necessary to generate your interview preparation. This may include information contained in your CV and the job description you provide. The extracted text is sent to DeepSeek only to produce the preparation; we do not use it for any other purpose.

You do not need a DeepSeek account to use Interviou. DeepSeek processes data under its own terms and privacy policy, which govern its processing of the information it receives — including retention, storage location and any use of data:platform.deepseek.com. If you have questions about how DeepSeek processes data, please review those terms or contact them directly.

6. Payments and Stripe

Payments are processed by Stripe. Interviou does not directly store full payment card details. Stripe processes payment information in accordance with its own privacy policy and applicable terms. Stripe records and Interviou's payment metadata (an internal session identifier, amount, currency and status) are retained as required for accounting and fraud prevention. This metadata never contains CV or interview content.

7. Analytics

Interviou uses analytics tools to understand how the website and product are used and to improve the service. Analytics never receive your CV, job description, answers, name or payment details, and session identifiers are not sent as identifiers.

Interviou's analytics are designed not to use cookies, and the service processes temporary data server-side. When optional analytics that require consent are deployed, Interviou asks for your choice once and lets you change it at any time. We share data only with the providers needed to run the service: DeepSeek (AI generation, section 5), Stripe (payments, section 6), Umami (analytics, section 7), Vercel (hosting) and Upstash (temporary storage of interview sessions, 24-hour TTL). Each processes the minimum data needed for its role, under its own terms.

11. International data transfers

Some service providers may process data in countries outside the European Economic Area. Where applicable law requires it, we rely on appropriate safeguards (such as standard contractual clauses or adequacy decisions) and review provider terms before relying on them.

12. Security

We use HTTPS everywhere, keep credentials server-side, validate uploaded files, rotate temporary session links, and keep interview data in temporary storage with automatic deletion. No system is completely secure; our commitments are described in the terms of service.

13. Your rights

Where the GDPR or other applicable law applies, you may have the right to access, rectify, delete, restrict, or obtain a copy of your personal data, and to object to certain processing. Because interview data is temporary and deleted automatically, most requests concern payment records and logs.

To exercise a right, contact us (section 15). You may also lodge a complaint with your local data-protection authority. Because Interviou is temporary by design, there may be nothing left to retrieve after the 24-hour retention period.

14. Changes to this policy

If this policy changes materially, we will update the date above and, where practical, notify you on the website. We will never change this policy retroactively to describe processing that did not happen.
